filament. (bones)

"In Joyce's 'Ulysses, Dedalus tells us, 'history is the nightmare from which i am trying to awaken,' I would turn this around and say that history is what we are trying to escape from into dream."
-Terrance McKenna

rusted fiddle scraping splinters on rusted floor of night.
remember when all things we did were said dreams in past lives of a couple years ago?
a basement of dreams.
a cellar with dim houselight hidden from parents and fertilizer you walked out of the local home depot with, front door, a winking eye at that stockboy? harvested. that fine green green.
these things you told everyone or didnt tell noone cus you convinced yrself they were bound to shrivel in that shrill basement light now the silence of dead air cuts like the real thing and electric buzz recreates itself, morphing cricket symphonies to split hairs in on itself, yeah that's when we learned you cant force the issue, the thing itself takes tissue and the way when you were six imagined children to grow, magical, exponential, just the way you'd have them, as you'd like it/if you'd like...
lets
make hidden outposts
and climb secret ghetto trees
plus
defend them to the death breath
squeezing meaning out of marrow
bones
bones
bones (can they live?)
in these now impoverished ends sounds like a choir of streetlights going fuck poverty we'll dance and if the dance has been done before and named they're wrong for that because yeah right here i occupy these joints and populate these bones...these rich rich bones., imagine that, a city of dancing bones, where the marrow thought itd been sucked out itd been spat out to be reborn or something, regenerated, in the slant rhyme of blasphemous gorgeous ceremony of resurrection. and goddamnit what kindof chickenshit would try slapping a copyright on that?

lets
make hidden outposts
and climb secret ghetto trees

plus
defend them to the death breath

squeezing meaning out of the marrow
bones
bones bones (can they live)?
